Really looking forward to next weeks demonstration, we have a guest artist coming to the studio to show us how she creates jewellery using the flame. Caroline began her career in the field of sculpture, and is now using those skills to sculpt with glass, having recently trained with a master craftsman in Venice on the island of Murano.

Caroline Weidman has studios at Barleylands in Billericay where she continues to work on her already fantastic skills, as well as teaching lots of eager students.

This week in Rochford has seen the third Rochford Art Trail, turning our town into a giant exhibition space, the launch day brought 110 people through our doors to see local artists work as well as our murano glass art work and jewellery. The week has carried on the same we have artists displaying from all genres, textiles painters jewellers photographers and many others.

Its great to see the town so alive buzzing with people, we should have more events like this!

Tommorow evening is our contribution a demonstration evening in the making of glass art - 7pm to 9pm . Every one is welcome.
