How "Venetian Murano Glass" pendants are made

More video's to come.

Julie White graduate of Southend school of art and design had always dreamed of owning her own studio and now she has two!
Two years ago Julie took over the pottery business where she had been working part time.
A few months down the line and a chance to enrol on a glass jewellery making course came up and she took it. JJW Designs was born and, along with her pottery studio, Craft Cottage, there was no looking back.
Using Murano glass, which is sourced from Venice, Julie and her team make jewellery pieces by hand. The designs are contemporary and because Murano glass is transparent it results in a beautiful finish.
Every piece is unique and personal to the wearer and is popular for weddings, proms, special occasions. Colours can be matched to suit a particular colour theme and include necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
There is between a two and four week turn around for items specially made but stock items are also available.
The past two years have been busy for Julie but her enthusiasm and dedication have made it worthwhile.
She said: The business has grown very quickly and I am thankful for the support of my team, including Diane Osborn team leader, contemporary glass and ceramic artist also Lorraine Isitt contempary glass and ceramic artist, not forgetting our youngest member Jenn Sambridge up and coming Jewellery designer.
